Wilco was formed by Jeff Tweedy in 1993 after the demise of Uncle Tupelo, quite possibly the most influential band of the 90s alt-country movement. Wilco is a very interesting band. Their catalog is wide and diverse, and they have opened the door for bands caught in the "twang" of traditional roots rock to expand their musical style.
