WHAT THEY HIT US WITH ON 10 / 28 / 2008
Eagles of Death Metal hit us with their third LP,
Heart On. Singer Jesse Hughes comments on the new album: "[it's our] latest fabulous weapon, a top-secret music missile, a sonic warhead sexually tipped for her pleasure, shot from the deck of USS EODM Mantastic Fantastic."

The 13th album from
The Cure is out today. This one's titled
4:13 Dream.
Deerhunter have something new this week,
Microcastle. An extensive North American tour starts on Halloween.

Electronic musician
Squarepusher (aka Tom Jenkinson) releases his 12th,
Just A Souvenir.
Bloc Party is back with
Intimate.
There's Me and There's You by
the Matthew Herbert Big Band.

A new
self-titled disc from
Fear Before (formerly

Nicely juxtaposed with this classic Getz reissue, Verve also put out something new from Berlin-based DJ collective
Jazzanova this week. This one is titled
