Madonna,
Rihanna and
T.I. If you want to quietly, privately peruse all the newest in Joan-bros news, you can check out

» The FCC, that organization who usually just deals with random mid-game boobs and shock-jocks, has
blessed the marriage of Sirius and XM, the only remaining satellite radio companies. The FCC, in its wisdom, will "allow the deal to proceed as long as the companies meet a series of consumer protection conditions, including a three-year cap on price" so we all won't be forced to pay thousands of dollars a month for satellite service, which would inevitably happen. Satellite radio owners will, however, be forced to scroll through 24 FCC-mandated "noncommercial" (read: unwanted) channels.
» Russia
is on its way to banning emo dress and being emo. Predictable "social danger" jargon was employed in its defense. Kids have, of course, not taken this kindly.
» Yahoo's
music store is off to close and in the process will be stopping its servers which authenticate the tracks, which are all protected by DRM. This means that all the cash users dumped into that store is now gone, and so are the tracks they purchased.

Avril Lavigne video posted on YouTube
has raked in a million dollars, even after considering YouTube's own cut. Some think this could show bigger labels that profit can be found on the internet while giving away material.

Also, What? Dustin Diamond, the "Screech" from Saved by the Bell
will be releasing a tell-all book about the behind the scenes craziness. No, it doesn't have anything to do with music, besides maybe that Diamond's co-star
Mario Lopez is now the host of America's Best Dance Crew. But, it's another good reminder of the fact that Dustin, as his name would suggest,
released a sex tape. Fucking weird.
