To celebrate the July 22nd DVD release of Daft Punk's cult film
Electroma, Lycos Cinema will screen it for free on their website for 9 hours this week. Beginning at 12am July 22nd (that's the night of July 21), fans will be able to watch
Electroma on the Lycos website
over here. After this 9-hour free screening expires, the video will be available for digital rental ($1.99 per viewing, I believe) also through the Lycos Cinema website. (wtf is Lycos Cinema? Wikipedia describes it as a "video and social networking site"—you can also
buy the DVD on Amazon.)
Electroma, directed by Daft Punk's Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel De Homem-Christo, follows two robots (the members of Daft Punk, of course) on their quest to become human.
