New Black Keys album Attack & Release produced by Danger Mouse
On April 1, Nonesuch Records will release The Black Keys' fifth full-length LP,
Attack & Release. The album follows their 2006 critically acclaimed Nonesuch debut
Magic Potion.
I'm excited. The Black Keys rock. Danger Mouse rocks. How can this combination possibly fail? For those of you who don't light up when you read the name Danger Mouse, you know him, trust me. Do any of these names ring a bell? Gnarls Barkley (on a side note: check out Danger and Cee-Lo's
new single "Run" (sorry, a YouTube video is all I found in my brief Googling), Gorillaz, Danger Doom, what about
The Grey Album (Jay-Z's
Black Album mashed with the Beatles'
White Album by none other than Danger Mouse).
And if you're not already in love with the Black Keys, do head over to their
website or
myspace and check them out. You can listen to the new single "Strange Times" on their myspace. I'd recommend purchasing (or any other means of acquiring those things you desire) any of their four (five in April!) albums. Put it in, sit down with some headphones on, and fucking rock out.
