The official press release boasts headliners Roger Waters, Jack Johnson, and Portishead. If that doesn't show you how lame this year's Coachella will be, I don't know what will. I mean, yea Pink Floyd kicked ass, but Roger Waters playing Dark Side of the Moon just isn't the same. I partially thought this last year, the year they first expanded the festival to three days, but I definitely feel it now: this show could easily be one day.. or at most two. But seriously, three? Goldenvoice is just splitting up the worthy acts across the three days so we are forced to dish out the $269 to go to all three days to see a mere handful of acts. My advice: save the cash and wait til the Coachella season is over (I heard from a relatively reliable source that the Coachella acts sign a contract with Goldenvoice agreeing not to play shows in the Los Angeles area within a certain time period of the festival) and go see the acts you want to see individually as they play at more personal (and reasonably priced) venues in the city.

Oh, and.. after announcing the lineup at an event in Mexico City (not sure why you announce a traditionally SoCal event in a foreign nation): "COACHELLA promoters detailed their plans to make tickets and travel packages directly available to music fans throughout Mexico." That's cool, I guess.
